Yesterday, we went for a little walk in the forest to burn off some energy before dinner time. The girls asked to make a little teepee for the fairies so i let them spend some time doing that. We have lots of fairy house items at home and it made me wish i had bought them along with me. After dinner, i asked the girls what they wanted to do the next day and both said they wanted to take a basket of items to the forest to make a fairy village. Who was i to say no. We had a free day and the thought of spending the day in the forest was pretty wonderful to me!
I filled the basket this morning with little bits they could use for their village. Elle asked if i would do a film of their fairy village and of their exploring so, of course, i said yes. I love creating films and have been wanting to make many more recently. The only problem i have is balancing doing film footage and taking photographs. i forgot to take many photographs as i was too busy filming but i do like the photos i got. Just simple ones. I need to work on this balance when we go on adventures.
I am so pleased with the film i made. The girls did a great job of their village. We had a teepee area, a dining area, a house area and we took a little garland with us to spruce up the place! So here is our fairy village!

DeleteUtterly Charming . It almost bought me to tears. As a little girl I many hours in the countryside. I made camps in the woods and ran through the orchards. I tried to create a love of nature in my children by creating fairies and helping them to realise the wonder of nature. I'm now doing the same with my grandson. Your photography is stunning . My heart swells with admiration and respect that mums like you keep the flag flying for all things beautiful in our troubled world x
