A wildflower meadow picnic

Another summer day and another summer adventure. We packed up a picnic, our easel and the flower press and headed to the ragwort meadow. We love exploring here as there are so many wild flowers growing throughout the meadow. We found a sweet little spot just off the main path and settled ourselves down. Elle wanted to start watercolour painting straight away so we set that up for her and Mia and i laid out the picnic blanket and she kept sneaking little bits from the cupcakes!

We bought along the strawberries that we picked at the strawberry farm this week, some cupcakes and some higgidy quiches. My goodness they are amazing! We picked some flowers and pressed them and Elle painted the sweetest picture on a canvas board we picked up this week. She wants to hang it on the wall by her dolls house in her room.

Picnics are something which we shall be having a lot of this summer. There is nothing better than packing up a basket and sitting in a wild flower meadow with books, flower presses, painting things and our kite.

-Higgidy are giving away hundreds of amazing Joules prizes so if you do buy any of their products for your lovely picnics, you can see if you have won here
