Celebrate her with Cath Kidston

Being a mother is all i have ever wanted to be. It is the the most rewarding job i could ever imagine having and i love my two girls with ever part of me. They constantly amaze me and i find myself becoming more and more proud of them every day. Whether they have come home with a house point for being kind and caring or whether they have spent the day playing nicely together. Their constant dance shows they put on for me or the little pictures they present me at 9pm when they should be asleep but they have stayed up late, drawing underneath their blankets.

I love those mornings when i wake up to hear them having a tea party in one of their bedrooms or i wake up to one of them snuggled up next to me, whispering "good morning mama" and then rubbing their nose on mine. It is the small and tiny things that i treasure the most and i sometimes get such butterfly feelings in my tummy knowing that they are mine and that they are growing up to be such sweet and caring little ladies. There is also that moment when i was writing this post that i whacked my elbow on the side of my chair. Elle came running over to make sure i was ok and then Mia came up to me a few minuets later with a card she just made with a rainbow on and said it was for me to make me feel better.

One of my favourite things to do with the girls is have a tea party. We like to take a little walk to the super market to pick up some cakes and pink lemonade. The girls love to get all my china out and we can spend hours sitting on the floor or at the table pretending we are princesses. If i could have a whole day on mothers day having a tea party, it would be the most perfect mothers day. It really is all i want.

This Mothers day, i am so proud and honoured to have teamed up with Cath Kidston to share the little daily achievements of being a mother. There is a sweet little video that you can watch and then you too can join in the campaign by sharing your motherhood achievements on social media using the hashtag #CKcelebrateher. You could even win £50! You can see all about it over on their blog here.

  1. So lovely. I personally think there is no more beautiful vocation in all the world than motherhood - perhaps not for every woman, but those who want it, and can have it, are so very blessed by the everyday joy it brings.

  14. Cath Kidston is so quintessentially girlie and so are tea parties, both of which don't feature much in my life surrounded by boys! I do like to look from the sidelines though.
