Decorating a lonely tree - day seven

Day Seven. Let's decorate a lonely tree. Father Christmas has left you some special baubles under the Christmas tree.

Every advent, the girls always get a little letter in their activity advent calendar to tell them that they are to go an decorate a lonely tree and every year, we always decorate the same tree. It is right on the edge of the forest and we love it dearly. This year also, i wanted the girls to have some extra special baubles to have for their adventure. We always use the red and gold ones but i found some beautiful recycled paper baubles from a shop called Scrapbooking by Petra on Etsy. They are so beautiful and we love the little deer also from the set.

This is one of my favourite advent activities. I fill up the basket of baubles for the girls and they always run ahead to the tree and get started straight away. I just let them hang the baubles themselves, do a few photographs and then i love to join in with them. They always love to run around the trunk of the tree and we play hide and seek. I always feel like a child myself when i am with these two little ladies. I am already looking forward to next year.

Near my Mothers house, there is a meadow with huge fir trees that i think i will take the girls to before Christmas to wrap tinsel around and dance around and around it together.
