Siblings in June

We had Mia's school opening evening the other night. My brother came to sit the girls and as the meeting was over their bedtime, he had the task of putting them to bed. When we got home, the girls were all settled down in bed. The next evening, i was putting Mia's toys away in her room before she went to bed and she was doing what i thought was some drawing on her chalk board but when i turned around to see what she was doing, she had written the numbers 1 to 6 on her board all by herself. I was so shocked as i didn't think she could do it and asked her if she had been doing it at preschool. She said no and said that her sister had sat with her the night before and had taught her how to write them. My heart swelled so much. She was so pleased with herself. I called Elle in and asked her if she had taught her sister how to write her numbers and she squealed with excitement and started hugging her sister saying how proud she was of her for doing it all by herself. They were giggling and cuddling for ages on Mia's bed. I felt so emotional. I had to take a step back and just watch them. Mia being so in awe of her sister and Elle being so proud of hers. This is sibling love.

"Siblings" is a monthly link up where myself and 6 other bloggers all share a photo of their children and then we each send you off to look at another blog. You can then go around in a circle, viewing all of the wonderful photographs and then why not link up yourself if you have two children or more! This month, i am sending you over to Annie. She is one of my favourite bloggers and my girls got the pleasure of meeting her little ones and playing "ninja fairies" last month!

  9. Such a beautiful story - mine are a lot younger but I love that dynamic of the eldest being a proud teacher and the youngest looking up to her sister and wanting to copy. And your photos are absolutely idyllic.
