A wallpaper crown garland and competition

I am very excited to announce that i am working along side House of Hackney on their new #HOHCREATES competition. The aim of the competition is to create a diy using samples of their new wall papers and you can win 4 rolls of your favourite wall paper from House of Hackney! I am helping to judge the winner and i have created my own diy using their Sumatra wallpaper from the new conservation series. For my DIY i used the wallpaper to create a crown garland. Perfect for the summer to hang for evening bbq's or parties.

1. Cut strips of the wall paper. You can do any size you wish depending on how big you want your crowns.
2. Cut triangles from one side of the strip.
3. Using glue, stick the two ends together to make the crown.
4. Use twine/string to string up the garland. I made little holes on each side of the crown and threaded the twine through.

It is such a simple diy to do but can create such a lovely statement. I shall be making a few more of these to hang in the girls rooms.

If you want to join in the competition, all the details are here.

Good luck! I am so excited to see all of the entries!!
