A day in june

Today, one of my dearest friends came to visit. We took the girls along the river. We just love this part down by the water. We live in the busy town centre and we can be out by the river and wild flower meadows within a ten minute walk. It's wonderful and it makes us forget that we live on such a busy road. We go here often and we have discovered a secret meadow that you can only get to from the side of the canal. Elle also found a little wooded section and asked me if it could be our wood. We are going to go back to explore there next week. The water takes us right up to a built up area with the cinema and restaurants and next week, i will take the girls along the water to have a pizza lunch. We are all looking forward to it.

Right now, i don't drive even though i am starting lessons. Its hard to find things to do with the girls right in the town centre whilst my husband is at work. We are all nature girls at heart and having this canal and river by us is perfect. We can escape and forget where we are and i am so excited to take the girls next week for lunch. It is just little things that make our days and for us to have a nice nature walk followed by a lovely lunch together makes us all giddy.

I am so excited to be driving. We shall have a whole new world opened up to us during the day. We can drive out to the countryside when ever we like and visit family more often. I sometimes feel quite trapped being stuck without driving and we are limited to where we can go. We are actually really lucky that this town has some lovely footpaths and the lake and meadows, but it will be so nice to be able to explore new areas and find new parks and go to the farms and strawberry fields! It will just be nice for the girls as well to have something new to do each day.

  5. I was a lovely day we had, and I can confirm I got home very tired with aching muscles. Not sure I could have survived one more monster race with Elle LOL.

  6. I can't believe that you live right in the centre of town- I know you have said it before but from your photos you would think you lived in the middle of nowhere. They are always so beautiful and dreamy. x
