Flower details

When the weather outside is still chilly and sometimes a little gloomy, i like to try and still capture beauty inside. Hanging dresses in windows makes me happy, especially when the sun catches the lace and flower details. I think these hanging dress photographs are one of my favourite sort of photographs to capture. I love playing with the light and the focus and trying to capture something that others would miss if they just saw this lonely dress hanging there.

I have been thinking long and hard about what to do with these photos. They are my some of my favourites and i love to share them. I am hoping to make a calendar in the autumn of my hanging dress series for others to buy. Even if i am the only one who buys one and has it next to my bed ;)

I have a little Etsy shop but it has been neglected and i am going to be doing a relaunch with lots of new prints. The relaunch will be on the 14th of April. I have a few more shoots planned before then to have a complete new photo print list to add for sale. This is quite exciting for me and i hope you will all pop over when the shop has been revamped to take a little peek!

  3. Do you know hanging your dresses out of your wardrobe is fantastic moth prevention! you should air all precious fabrics twice monthly as moths hate light (and love dark wardrobes) - at the mo I've got all my silk dresses hanging on the windows they look like they are having a party! So any wool, cashmere, silk should have equivalent parties from time to time!! (and they do look so pretty!)
