You've got a friend in me

Buzz and Woody. Not only are they are much loved characters in my girls lives, they were for me growing up too. I loved the films and i was very quick to introduce them to the girls when they were small. Toy Story 4 is going to be released in June 2019 and I am so excited. I already cannot wait to go and see it with the girls and, of course, my husband as he loves Toy Story just as much as we do!

Toy Story is all about friendship and I wanted too share with you the girls and their best friend. This little friendship is the sweetest and they call Summer their sister. They do everything together and they have had the most amazing adventures together over the last two years. The girls are so close that they call Summer a daughter as well.

Me and Summer's mum are best friends too but we never pushed a friendship onto the girls. It was so natural and they became firm friends so quickly. I started to work at the school and my best friend worked in the same year group as me so the girls got to hang out together before school started and after school started. Within a few weeks, we were on adventures every week and we now have set adventure evenings and days. They spend Halloween together, have many sleepovers, have their own Christmas day together, have movie and game nights and we have special places such as our "teepee" woods. It so lovely to see this bond grow and grow and they talk all the time about growing up together and owning their own owl sanctuary when they are bigger. It is so lovely to hear them planning their future together. They cannot go a few days without seeing each other!

Childhood friendships are magical. I love watching bonds between children. I work with small children and seeing the dynamics and special friendships the children has is so lovely. Watching them play and get lost in their own magic lands and games and seeing them care for each other if they fall over or get hurt. Sometimes you see a whole gang of children holding up another child as they hobble over to you on the playground, all of them so upset too that their friend is hurt. They go and get cold packs and sit with each other until that child feels ok to play again. Children's friendships are so intense and strong and I am so happy that my two girls have the most amazing friendship.

We are so honoured to be working with Thinkway toys on their Toy Story 4 campaign. The new Buzz and Woody two pack from Smyths are the most lifelike characters on the market. They are 12 inches are the girls are smitten with them! They have taken them on many adventures in the last week. We have been to the forest with them and both girls got lost in their own imagination game of Toy Story and were running around to escape the aliens!

Thinkway toys and Smyths toys Superstore have kindly offered one of my readers a £50 Smyths Toys Superstore gift card. To enter, see below! It will end at 23:59 on the 14th September! UK entrants only.

  1. What a lovely story of friends and friendship! I love that the girls are happy to share a best friend (but then they seem to be best friends themselves - probably because they have such great parents!).
