On midsummer's evening, Elle and I took an evening walk together through the poppy field and ox eye daisy meadow. Elle had been worried about some tests at school and I wanted to spend a little time with her and help her stay calm. When we were out, I said that I wanted to make a film of the flowers but she asked to use my camera. She then decided to do a photoshoot of me in the poppies and ox eye daisies in the golden hour. I am so blown away by these images she created. She is 9! I had my manual film lens on my camera so she actually shot these manually as well as manual focus on my digital SLR and smashed it! The exposure was her, the focus was her, the composition was her. Everything about these images were her creation. I really am so incredibly proud of her and she inspires me every day. Her view on the world is so special and magical and I loved watching her create these images. I just sat and did as she said and she was weaving in and out of the flowers and grass, trying to get the light right. She kept saying that she wanted to capture the fairies in her photographs as I always tell her that the lens flares are fairies dancing around us and when I capture them on images of her, she truly believes that there are fairies with her. She is so proud of these too but I don't think she realises how incredible she and these are!
I cannot wait for many more photo evenings with this little lady!
Honestly I'm just blown away by her remarkable talent. It's not just that she shows amazing technical understanding, but that she has a really beautiful, sensitive eye. I hope she continues on with photography, she's an inspiration.

You are so blessed to have one of them for your daughter! She also captured your own spirit beautifully. Sweet talent. ♥ ♥ ♥ You are both lovely.

They often have a dance on summer nights;
The butterflies and bees make a lovely little breeze,
And the rabbits stand about and hold the lights.
