Sleeping amongst delicate florals

When ever the snowdrops start to come out and the winter frost seems to disappear, I always have an urge to freshen up my house. I love to get out the floral bedding and start to add flowers in vases around the house. I always set out a day to go around the shops and vintage stores to look at bedding and I love to get a few new ones each year.

One of my favourite style of bedding is a lace trim white set that I always love to have on the bed in the spring. I also love delicate floral ones and I have my eye on a few different ones this year that I would love to have. Yorkshire Linen do a beautiful fern print duvet set as well as a stag head print duvet set which I have fallen in love with. I find that with each season, changing the duvet cover can really make the room. I love floral ones for spring and summer and they always make me feel happy. I also love to add vases or old bottles of picked flowers on my bedside table to complete the look. Going out on adventures with the girls to collect flowers in our basket to put in the bedroom is one of my favourite things to do as well as scouring the second hand shops and online sites to find beautiful duvet covers. I would love to do a photo shoot in the forest or meadow with all the floral duvet covers hanging from a washing line string between trees on a spring evening!

I also love to use my bedding as backdrops for flat lays and photographs. I love the texture and movement they give and the different varities you can find to complement each season. I love to make floral crowns and photograph botanical book pages and these look so dreamy against the soft delicate lace trim or tiny rosebuds.

I am already saving some pennies to collect a few more for this year. I am wanting to make a few changes in my bedroom. If you are a long time reader of this blog or follow me on social media, you will know that my bedroom walls are full of botanical prints, hanging flowers and hanging lace dresses. We currently have a carpet in there but, this year, I would love to pull that up and have floor boards. I have been having sneaky peeks in the corners of the room and I am so excited to get started on this project!
