The wood garden

Last week, i took the girls back to the wood garden to explore the spring garden. We love it here. It has a stream, a tearoom and so many little hidden places to adventure in! The girls collected things to make nests and we sat in the meadow in the middle of the garden and they made their nests before finding a tree each and putting their nests in them. A lovely lady who was there commented on how she thought the birds were so lucky to have the girls making nests for them. It made me smile and i always appreciate when people take the time to talk to the girls when we are out and about (except the busy body lady in the super market yesterday who listened to half of our conversation and thought it was fine to tell the girls off for something that didn't even happen!).

Just simple days like this, with the girls doing their "fishing" by the stream and me sitting in a patch of daffodils under at tree are what we love the best. I just love giving them the environment to explore and to use their imaginations. They had a better time just being free and playing then they would have done if i had spent lots of money on going to the cinema or something similar. They love to be outdoors and learning about the flowers and plants. I cannot wait to go back here again with my family and see what the summer brings to this magical little garden!
