There is only one more month of Siblings left for this year! I cannot believe it but i am looking forward to putting up a Siblings round up to see how the girls have grown together over this year.
This little photo shoot started with them walking nicely through the forest whilst i snapped away behind them and then ended up in a leaf throwing fight! And who was i to not encourage this. Hearing their squeals and giggles just made me smile so much. It still amazes me how they can spend their days at school together and still want to be with each other every second after school and i even catch them sometimes in one of their beds in the evening, giggling under the duvet as they know they are being monkeys! But they never tire of each other. I wake up every morning to hear them playing in Elle's room and then they are at school together and then they play all afternoon together too. We sometimes have squabbles over who gets to choose the tv programme or has their hair washed first but we do a coin flip now and when they are having an argument, they normally come to me to ask me to flip a coin and then they accept what the coin says and no more arguing! I feel this is a bonus but i also know that they will not be calmed down by a coin flip for too much longer and their arguments wont just be over who gets to choose the tv programme or who gets to brush their teeth first in the morning or who gets to read first at bedtime. But for now, the coin works and i am embracing this time where they don't really have too much to argue about. Soon it is going to be over clothes and boys and curfews so i am happy that we are in this little bubble right now.
Siblings is such a wonderful link up project. You can find more beautiful photographs on the other co-hosts blogs. Katie from Mummy Daddy Me, Lucy from Dear Beautiful, Amber from The Goblin Child and Carie from Space for the butterflies.
So much fun being had here I love it and that's what childhood is all about. It's so beautiful to sit back and watch them bonding and laughing together as siblings isn't it? I am excited too for next month's roundup of the whole year. I love looking back at a year of siblings photos and seeing how much they have grown changed and evolved their relationship . That's why I love this project so much. Gorgeous snaps as always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! Leaf fights are so much fun (until you get a twig in your eye!). I really am so excited for the roundup. I make sure that i never look back on them during the year so that, come December, i can get the full effect of looking through a whole year of those amazing moments of them together :)
DeleteLooks like lots of fun and isn't that the joy of the leaves falling off the trees. I can't believe it's December next time and I'm excited to do my first round up of the year and see how much my girls have changed. x #thesiblingproject
