Christmas home styling

December is next week and i couldn't be more excited. I have so many wonderful plans and, for the first time in a while, we are hosting Christmas day at our house. The last time we did this, i was pregnant and had the swine flu and i spent the whole day asleep so missed out entirely!

This year, i want it to be perfect. I want to add little touches around the house and i want to be the best host i can. The lead up to Christmas day is always so exciting. I do our activity advent calendar with the girls every day and this year is going to be the best year yet. I can just tell. I have some lovely things planned for them and for us as a family.

This year, i want to get a few new things for the house to make it more Christmassy. I have some crafts planned and, of course, we shall have a hand picked tree in the window. I would like to make a wreath and i would love to try and make some garlands and table place decorations. It is just exciting to think that Christmas Eve is one month away today! I cannot wait to share our lead up to Christmas with you all here on my little blog.

I also wanted to share with you some ideas for a few little home touches. To me, a cosy winter's evening is being snuggled on the sofa under a throw or blanket with the fire one. Nothing makes me feel as cosy, especially if i have a cup a soup or some hot chocolate. We have a few blankets that we use in the living room in the evening but i would love to get a warm throw also to put over our leather sofa, just for that extra comfort. I have put together a little montage of things that i love from Julian Charles. They sell the most wonderful Christmas bedding and cushions along side other products such as Christmas decorations, home accessories and thermal curtains.
