Siblings {March 16}

Every month, i open up the pictures i took of the girls and then stare at a blank space underneath. I think about what i can write that is different to every other siblings month. I mention so many times how they love each other more than anything else on this Earth. I mention that their bond is beyond anything else. I mention about how i want to be in on their little gang. I think i could mention these things until i am blue in the face because it really does amaze me. I feel so lucky to have such amazing little girls who love each other so dearly.

When i take the girls to school, they both have to line up outside their classrooms. We always line up outside of Elle's first and as soon as the bell rings, Elle is always ready in the line. You can then hear Mia running across the playground from the trim trail shouting for Elle. She then jumps at her sister. Even though they will see each other at their first break, it feels like it will be forever. Sometimes i have to seperate them so Elle can go into her classroom and so i can get Mia into hers but it always makes my heart melt to see them gripping onto each other in that little line.

They then come home and i get to hear about the games they played together at break and lunch time. It makes me so proud that Elle lets Mia play with her and her friends in the playground. I hope that she will always be there to look out for her sister. All of Elle's friends love Mia as well. They have all taken her into their little group and she gets to play with all the big girls. I am sure it won't be the same by the time they come to upper school but, for now, they are so happy to be together and playing together and Elle is always telling me how excited she gets when she see's Mia in the hall at lunch time or how Mia got to go up in assembly to get an award. She is so proud of her sister and her sister is so in awe or her.

Siblings is such a wonderful link up project. You can find more beautiful photographs on the other co-hosts blogs. Katie from Mummy Daddy Me, Lucy from Dear Beautiful, Amber from The Goblin Child, Annie from Fable & Folk and Carie from Space for the butterflies.

  1. What a lovely relationship, the school playground can sometimes me a tricky place for children and it must be such a lovely comfort to know your girls are together and looking out for each other. I remember my older brother taking me under his wing when I went to school and when I think back now to it, what a wonderful thing he did. x #thesiblingsproject

  2. They are so adorable together. You can see the bond that is forming and is present already that will be there forever. That's the beauty of sisters. Sounds like they have each others backs already. #siblingsproject

  3. I know that feeling of not knowing how many more times to say how much they love each other. magical isn't it? Your girls seem incredibly close and its beautiful to see, I get to hear similar stories when YM see's H at the nursery gate. I do wonder how they'll be once H joins the primary school (which i'm so not ready for!) i know they'll be there for one another though. Lovely photos xx
