Siblings {november}

One of Elle's favourite things is Space. By the time she was 4 she could name all the planets, tell you the order and characteristics of each planet. She would sit in bed every night and look at her many space books that we got her. I didn't want to push this on Mia at all as i wanted her to be interested in what SHE wanted and not what i wanted her to like her sister. Last week, Mia went into her sisters room and bought me one of Elle's space books and asked to look through it with me. I was very happy too and i told Elle that Mia had asked me about space and that was it! Elle wanted to teach her all she knew and showing her all the planets and pictures in her book. I was secretly pleased as now i will have another space geek for a daughter and i have swapped her night Elmo books for a space book, just like i had to do with her sister when she was 3 years and 7 months.

"Siblings" is a monthly link up where myself and 9 other bloggers all share a photo of their children and then we each send you off to look at another blog. You can then go around in a circle, viewing all of the wonderful photographs and then why not link up yourself if you have two  children or more! This month, i am sending you over to Kelle at Dinky and Dandy Her blog is packed full of children's fashion and photographs of her own little cuties!

  1. Kitty is obsessed with space too and 'fact books' - "Have you got a fact book I can read mummy?"

    These are seriously cute photos, there's something about children sat on 'the big bed' that I always love, feels so unstaged and natural, like a peek round a bedroom door and a glimpse into your life x

  7. Yay for little girls that like Space - my Kitty loves space too - not so much stars and planets I think as spaceships and the effect of zero gravity; she's very keen on Chris Hadfield's YouTube videos of life on the ISS. I'm sure you'll have come across them but The Universe Rocks series of books are brilliant on space and planets - and they've got really cool simple science experiments in them too!
    I love the pictures of your girls (as always), you've captured so beautifully the relaxed friendliness of sisterhood, sharing something that they love :)

  9. My son went through a space phase, and I can vividly remember telling him that he could take 8 books out of the library on space, as it didn't leave any space books for other children. Eventually he moved on - to have a new burning interest in dinosaurs.
