In the heather

Two weeks ago, the girls and i went to norfolk with some family for a holiday. My favourite place in the world is Holkham beach and my mum suggested that we have a day trip back there to take the girls, so yesterday, we did a road trip back to the beach but on the way, we went back to the heather field that i found a few weeks back. It had stopped raining and the clouds were clearing and the sun was starting to shine through. We walked to the heather through the woods and the girls started walking through and saying they were on an adventure. I followed them around and took photographs and then the ponies all came over. We were amazed and the girls were so excited. We made sure that they were still and quiet whilst the ponies came straight up to us and the girls got to stroke their noses.

On the way back to the car, we all picked blackberries. I haven't seen blackberries that big ever! The girls loved them and tried to pick the biggest ones they could. I was so happy being there. As soon as i saw the heather field in the distance, i was so excited to get back to it. Holkham beach and they heather field are very much my happy places! And i think they are the girls too!

  11. Oh my word I just love love love these photos. Just stunning. Funnily enough I was thinking of Norfolk when I saw them. We were there a few weeks ago (via Suffolk where the in-laws live) and passed a field of beautiful wild horses like these. I was absolutely gutted there was nowhere to stop! Gorgeous post x
