Buttercups and picnics

Yesterday, the girls and i visited my best friend who lives an hour away. We packed up a picnic and headed to the castle grounds near by. It was pretty wonderful having our picnic amongst baby lambs whilst listening to disney songs on the ipad and having the bubble machine going next to us. The girls loved it and kept stealing mine and Hannah's camera's to take pictures with.

After our picnic, we went over the lane to the buttercup and let the girls play and Elle make a buttercup chain. It's days like this that just make me happy. Hannah and i have been best friends for 13 years now and i am so happy that the girls love her just as much as i do. After we had our picnic, we went back to her cottage to watch Peter Pan and The lady and the tramp before the hour drive home listening (and singing extremely loud!) to the disney princess soundtrack. I think there was a bit of a theme for the day ;) It was the perfect way to spend the last day of May.

  5. Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVE that photo of them leaning over backwards and holding onto the fence. Doing that was just so fun as a kid when you're small and fearless.
A bit like with my two, I think your girls are looking closer in age as they get older. They look like real, proper playmates now. x
