Today, it was our 6th year wedding anniversary. We spent the morning strawberry picking. We went out to a little farm and the girls were given their little punnets from the farm house and off they went. The completely loved it and so did Gilles and i! We are planning to go again before the season ends. At the farm, they also had some piglets and the girls were oooing and aaaaaing over them. It was rather sweet.
After we finished up at the farm, we went to a little village on the canal. We sat outside the pub on the canal right next to the lock. The village was quite near to the silverstone grand prix track and we got to see the red arrow display as we were having lunch. Right at the end of the display, the red arrows made a huge heart in the sky right above our heads and it felt like it was just for us! It was pretty wonderful!
I am so happy that we have been married for 6 years! I think i fall more and more in love with Gilles every year we are married. He had given me the most wonderful daughters i could ever ask for and i thank him from the bottom of my heart for that. I am so lucky to know that i will be growing old with him.

DeleteHappy anniversary to you and Gilles. It sounds like you celebrated it wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of strawberry picking as a little girla and I can't wait to take my children when they're bigger. I remember eating them as I picked and how amazing they tasted fresh from the plant.
The red arrows making a heart for you sounds amazing. We used to go to the Grand Prix every year as kids and the red arrows were always one of my favourite parts. x
Thank you Lucy. I don't ever remember going strawberry picking when i was younger. I love doing these things with the girls and letting them build wonderful early memories. We are going to go every year now! Its such a great farm! I want to go back in a few weeks to pick the gooseberries to make jam :) xxx
DeleteHappy Anniversary and what a lovely day. I must go strawberry picking soon at our local farm - they have tractor rides too so good fun for my son. Love your flower crown.
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you! Oh, i wish they had a tractor ride here! Maybe i need to investigate further to see if any farms do. My girls would love it x
