The golden field

This morning, we spent some time in one of our favourite fields. It is on the edge of a tiny hamlet village and as you drive away from the village, you drive through the middle of two fields. This year, the fields are golden with rapeseed. We have been driving along here a few times a week for the last few weeks to keep an eye on the blooming flowers.

I did have a product photography shoot planned but i woke up feeling not quite right and when we reached the rapeseed field, i really didn't feel i could do the shoot. I didn't want to rush it and it can be done another day. Instead, i let the girls adventure on their own. They discovered that each flower had lots of little bugs on them and this kept them amused for ages. They kept talking to the bugs and letting the bugs crawl on their hands. It was so wonderful watching them. I decided to film some footage to make a creative film and i took a few snaps on my iphone so as not to put too much pressure on myself to get digital images as well as video. I really wanted to make a nice film for them to watch and i am so glad i did. I love the new film and so do the girls.
