Turning 27

On Monday, i tuned 27! I have no idea where my twenties have gone.

My birthday celebrations started with friends and family at the waterfront festival over the weekend which i blogged about here. Monday morning, Elle had preschool followed by her transfer afternoon at her big school which she will be starting in september. When Elle and i got back from her school, my sister and niece had come over. We went around some charity shops to find some vinyls. Gilles had bought me a record player at the festival for my birthday and i have managed to find 16 vinyls so far! Monday evening, my brother and his girlfriend and my brother in law came over and we all had fajitas whilst listening to records. It was just a nice, chilled day.
Tuesday was my grandmas birthday and, every year, we go every year for lunch at her local garden centre. I always look forward to it. We picked up some flowers for the garden and when we got home, we spent the afternoon in the garden.

It was just a lovely birthday all together. I love my record player and got the sweetest gifts from some friends. My dear friends, Kat and Madlyn, sent me such lovely packages full of such thoughtful gifts. Thank you both so very much! Kat gave me some sweet little stickers and i just had to use one of them to decorate my record player!

Now my birthday is over, i can start planning Elle's birthday. I have exciting plans and i am collaborating with a lovely online party company to bring her the perfect day and party!

  5. Loved seeing these darling, the sticker looks beautiful on your record player, how good was Giles to find that! Such a perfect gift for your gingerlillytea world.
I can spy the things I sent and also what Maddy gave you, I have a shell like that too from M, and I love how you can store tiny treasures inside. Also I know the tiny envelopes are made by her hand!

  7. Hi honey,

Oh how fun and wonderfully magical to see everything in your world now. Almost like a dream :) Your 27th looked like such a beautiful day and i'm so glad the sun was shining for you! Your record player is so FAB and i love it's browny color. The sticker is the perfect addition ;) Kat gave me a few stickers like that too and it's fun to know you have them as well. All your gifts are simply magical and it's fun to guess who gave you what. :)

    Love to you and hugs,
