Tuesday, i believe, was the hottest day of the year so far. I asked Elle what she wanted to do, and she asked if we could go flower picking as she wanted some more flowers for her flower press and her pressed flower book. We got the basket ready and off we went. We walked quite a way up the river and Elle picked a whole basket full of flowers. I tried to fit as much as i could into her press and i also pressed a few into my diary.
One man, who cycled past us, said to me that we were all picture perfect with our summer dresses and straw hats! It was a lovely afternoon and it was followed by some ice cream in cones at home to cool off.
My brother suggested I might like this blog. He was entirely right.

ReplyDeleteToday, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found
ReplyDeletea sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear."
She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There
was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had
