Their fort

I was woken up yesterday by Elle trying to make a fort in our bedroom out of two sheets and a bathroom stool. "Mama, its just not right. It isnt working properly". So i suggested i made a fort under the table as i know they love that. I couldnt help but snap away. I used my 50mm film lens attached to my digital so these are all manually focused but i love the effect of them and don't really care wether the composition is right, rules of third is right or the focus is right (these are all straight out of camera). When i am documenting the girls, anything goes really as they move too fast for me to fiddle around with settings. I just love how these came out and i love capturing these moments of their childhood.

When Mia becomes toilet trained, we shall be replacing her changing table in her room with a teepee fort. I am quite excited about making one and i shall be searching for the perfect material and bunting for it. I am in love with this style and this style the most.

  6. This makes me want to go and build a fort too. I used to build dens as a kid with bed sheets and the clothes airer. It's the best kind of play. And your girls look gorgeous while they are at it too. X
